The Opportunity

We're looking for a senior Software Engineer to help build the next generation of our safety platform -- software that's actively reshaping how safety is managed across critical infrastructure environments. This is a rare opportunity to engineer systems that have direct, real-world impact and are used daily by people in high-stakes settings.

You'll be a core contributor from day one, with real ownership over architecture, technology decisions, and product direction. We move fast, ship often, and above all, value clean and thoughtful engineering. Whether it's designing scalable backend systems, optimizing performance across the stack, or bringing new features to life in a polished UI, your work will go far beyond the spec sheet---you'll help shape the future of a platform that matters.

What You'll Do

• Lead front-end development efforts using WebGL and HTML5 Canvas technologies
• Redesign and rebuild our existing platform with a focus on visual interface and user experience
• Collaborate with a small, focused team to develop scalable, maintainable systems
• Help establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and development workflows
• Create infrastructure that can support future AI/ML capabilities
• Drive technical discussions and make critical decisions that impact product direction
• Manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Mentor and collaborate with other team members

What We're Looking For

• 6-8+ years of professional software engineering experience (equivalent to L5/L6 at major tech companies)
• Expert-level knowledge of WebGL and HTML5 Canvas technologies
• Strong front-end development expertise with modern JavaScript frameworks
• Experience building and launching production web applications with sophisticated visual interfaces
• Track record of driving technical decisions in complex software projects
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment

Highly Valued Experience

• Experience with Miro Development Platform or Figma design tools
• Familiarity with large database software like Autodesk or Procore
• Experience working at established companies with robust organizational structures
• Previous experience as a founding engineer at a startup
• Experience building platforms that support or integrate with AI/ML systems
• Background in safety-critical applications or industrial software
• Experience working with remote, distributed teams
• Front-end focused development with limited backend requirements

Salary Range: $125,000/yr - $225,000/yr + bonus + equity
