Welcome to autoLOTO: Revolutionizing Workplace Safety Through Innovative Technology
autoLOTO is a pioneering technology company on a mission to transform workplace safety for electricians. We're not just building software -- we're creating a digital solution that prevents injuries, saves lives, and makes complex electrical work dramatically safer and more efficient.
Our Origin Story
Born from real-world frustrations with outdated safety processes, autoLOTO emerged after witnessing too many near-miss incidents and dangerous workplace scenarios. We saw electricians struggling with complex electrical one-line drawings, cumbersome logbooks, and error-prone tracking methods. Our founders knew there had to be a better way to protect workers while making their jobs easier.
What Sets Us Apart
What sets us apart is that we're solving all the fun, challenging problems that make software development exciting---designing cloud systems that scale, crafting intuitive and responsive web apps, and pushing the limits of what great engineering looks like. But unlike many purely digital products, our work has a direct, physical impact.
Our software is used in the real world, on real client sites, helping real people do their jobs better every day. Safety is at the core of our technology, aiming to prevent injuries and, in some cases, save lives. Not only do we improve client safety, but we also make their work more efficient. It's deeply rewarding to see your code come to life in practical, tangible ways.
Here are a few ways our software makes a real difference in our clients' day-to-day operations:
We're not just reducing risk -- we're fundamentally reimagining workplace safety technology. While we began with electrical systems, we're rapidly expanding our solutions to cover Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in large-scale industrial environments.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a senior Software Engineer to help build the next generation of our safety platform-- software that's actively reshaping how safety is managed across critical infrastructure environments. This is a rare opportunity to engineer systems that have direct, real-world impact and are used daily by people in high-stakes settings.
You'll be a core contributor from day one, with real ownership over architecture, technology decisions, and product direction. We move fast, ship often, and above all, value clean and thoughtful engineering. Whether it's designing scalable backend systems, optimizing performance across the stack, or bringing new features to life in a polished UI, your work will go far beyond the spec sheet---you'll help shape the future of a platform that matters.

· Spearhead new feature development and design using modern JavaScript technologies
· Implement and maintain testing and automation workflows
· Collaborate with a small, focused team to develop scalable, maintainable systems
· Help establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and development workflows
· Drive technical discussions and make critical decisions that impact product direction
· Mentor and collaborate with other team members
What We're Looking For
· 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in a full stack role
· Expert-level knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript with strong React experience
· Strong understanding of full-stack system development and principles
· Track record of driving technical decisions in complex software projects
· Experience building and launching production applications across multiple platforms
· Understanding of full-stack system architecture and infrastructure management
· Provide mentorship and guidance to engineering team members
· Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
Highly Valued Experience
· React/Remix.js experience
· Node.js experience
· Cloud-based automated deployments and DevOps technologies
· Automation tools and testing frameworks (GitHub Actions, Xcode Cloud, Maestro)

· Architectural and design experience (understanding full-stack systems at a high level)
· Experience navigating and implementing robust technical requirements
· Experience working with AI/ML systems
· Experience with relational databases (like Postgres) and ORMs
· Background in safety-critical applications or industrial software
· Experience working with remote, distributed teams
· Previous experience at a startup
Benefits & Perks
· Competitive salary and equity package
· Fully remote position with flexible working hours
· Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
· Generous PTO policy
· Modern, lightweight work processes without unnecessary bureaucracy
· Opportunity to make a real impact on workplace safety technology
