Engineering Lead (PHP/Java)

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team on the implementation new functionalities in a microservices architecture
• Lead the end-to-end development of scalable and high-performance solutions ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements
• Design and development of microservices (PHP) in accordance with established standards
• Ensure proper service alarmistic, monitoring and incident mitigation practices are in place
• Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget
• Organize the software development life cycle from code to release, strategically partnering with Product Managers to effectively deliver high impact solutions
• Coach and support the team overseeing individual and team growth

Requirements

• 3+ years experience managing a team of engineers, overseeing their career growth
• 3+ years of work experience as a Software Engineer (PHP 8+)
• 1+ years of work experience as a Java Software Engineer
• Knowledge of architecture/design methods and patterns, data and API specifications, quality assurance, and testing methods
• Experience in software development, supporting the design and development of large-scale, distributed software applications
• Experience with MySQL, Postgres and working with large data volumes
• Experience with NoSQL databases (ex: MongoDB) and working with large data volumes
• Experience with microservices and cloud architectures (ex. Google Cloud Platform, Docker)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply logical and analytical thinking to complex problems
• Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
• Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team
• English intermediate (B1/B2)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work autonomously in a team environment

Will be as a plus:

• Prior knowledge of Laravel, Symfony is a plus
