Authentic Ego is a next-generation skincare company redefining how we support adult and hormonal acne-prone skin. Founded by two women with deep experience in brand, marketing, and formulation science, we are science-first and mission-led, combining real acne research, R&D-led formulations, and a cultural shift in how skincare is marketed, consumed, and trusted.

Since launching in late 2023, we’ve experienced exponential growth, gained early traction from the creator and clinical communities, and are now preparing for Series A fundraising.

We’re building a category-defining brand and we’re seeking a Founding Social Media Manager to help bring our brand to life across our social channels

This is a hands-on, execution-driven opportunity for a self-starter with experience planning, managing and executing content across Socials

Key Responsibilities:

Build and run a content calendar aligned to launches, promos, PR, and community themes
Plan and produce a combination of static, carousel and short-form video content using a combination of Canva, AI, Capcut and other similar tools (you will have access to new assets weekly)
Run a standing creative testing framework (thumbnail, hook, format, caption length, CTA) and share insights with our team
Repurpose long/short content across channels; write hooks, captions, CTAs, alt text, and on-screen captions for accessibility.
Coordinate creator gifting & seeding (list building, tracking, follow-ups)
Build out a content asset library (naming, tags, rights, versions) so we can find and reuse assets as a team quickly

What We’re Looking For:

3–5+ years experience in content planning, creation and management,
Proficiency with Canva, Capcut and other editing tools
Strong eye for aesthetics and beauty-forward visual storytelling
Deep familiarity with skincare/beauty content formats and ability to identify trending content early
Strong portfolio showcasing relevant work with ecommerce and/or consumer brands
Ability to manage projects independently while maintaining a collaborative mindset
Strong entrepreneurial ambition with a desire to help build a brand that you’ll have ownership in

Position Details:

Monthly salary + equity ownership of the company
Part-time to start; time commitment is flexible and can scale with growth
Fully remote - work from anywhere
Annual salary and full-time employment with benefits to follow upon Series A fundraising
Work around your existing schedule- since this is currently a part-time position we fully recognize the need for flexibility based on your other commitments
