Senior Java Software Engineer

SUMMARY:

We’re looking for an accomplished Senior Java Developer with 10+ years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture, with a strong background in API development, database management, and cloud-based environments (AWS or similar). You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build secure, scalable, and high-performing software solutions that power business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop enterprise-grade applications using Java 11+, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework
• Handle EDI 837 healthcare claims data, including parsing, validation, mapping, and transformation
• Work with SOAP and RESTful APIs to integrate with internal systems and external clearinghouses or payers
• Deploy and manage Java applications on Apache Tomcat servers
• Manage data access using Oracle, SQL, JDBC, and JPA
• Work within AWS cloud environments for scalable and secure application hosting
• Develop front-end components using React, Angular and JavaScript
• Collaborate with stakeholders, QA, DevOps, and analysts to ensure data integrity and performance
• Utilize Git for version control and participate in peer reviews and CI/CD processes
• Manage deployments and automation in Unix/Linux environments

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience in Java-based development (Java 11 or higher)
• Strong expertise with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices
• Proven experience working with EDI 837 files (Institutional, Professional, and Dental claims formats)
• Solid understanding of HIPAA-compliant data handling and healthcare transaction standards
• Experience working with Oracle, advanced SQL, JDBC, and JPA
• Skilled in REST and SOAP API design and consumption
• Strong experience with Apache Tomcat (deployment, configuration, tuning)
• Proficient with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.)
• Comfortable with Unix/Linux environments and scripting
• Hands-on with Angular and JavaScript for front-end tasks.
• Prior experience in the healthcare domain is required.
