Why This Role is Exciting
Building the local development, CI/CD, build, and test frameworks that serve as the platform for AuditBoard’s developers is critical to our rapidly-growing company’s success. As AuditBoard continues to grow and scale up, we are looking for an experienced engineer to architect our local developer environment experience as part of our Developer Efficiency organization.
This role delivers value through improving developer productivity by streamlining our tools and environments. The ideal candidate is passionate about making life easier for other developers and is eager to build and maintain the core infrastructure that powers our engineering team.
Responsibilities
Design and Build Developer Tooling: You'll create and maintain tools to automate the developer setup process, from setting up a new machine to managing fully configured environments. The goal is a single-command solution that's simple and efficient.
Ensure Idempotency: Develop solutions that can be run repeatedly without causing unintended side effects, ensuring existing developers can easily update their environments to the latest standards.
Author and Own Critical Automation: Write scripts and build automation to improve developer workflows, reducing friction and repetitive tasks throughout the development lifecycle.
Partner with Stakeholders: Work closely with the engineering teams to understand pain points, gather feedback, and continuously improve the developer experience.
