Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Sales Executive (DTC Performance Marketing).
This is not a traditional SDR role. You will be responsible for both outbound prospecting and closing new business. You will lead conversations with founders, CMOs, and growth leaders at e-commerce brands, diagnose performance issues, and sell audits, strategy engagements, and long-term retainer relationships.
You must already understand direct response marketing in a DTC context. We are not able to train on fundamentals.
What You’ll Do
- Own the full sales cycle: outbound, qualification, pitch, and close
- Prospect and engage DTC brands via email, LinkedIn, and other outbound channels
- Run discovery calls with founders and marketing leaders
- Diagnose growth challenges across Meta, Google, and omnichannel performance
- Present audits, strategic recommendations, and service offerings
- Close new clients on monthly retainers and project-based engagements
- Maintain pipeline and activity in CRM (HubSpot or similar)
- Collaborate with leadership on positioning, offers, and sales strategy
- Consistently hit and exceed monthly revenue targets
What We’re Looking For (Non-Negotiable)
- Direct experience selling marketing services to DTC/e-commerce brands
- Strong understanding of direct response paid media (Meta, Google, TikTok)
- Experience at a performance marketing agency or similar environment
- Ability to speak fluently about:
- CPA, MER, ROAS, LTV, CAC
- Creative testing and scaling frameworks
- Funnel optimization and attribution challenges
- Proven track record of closing deals, not just setting meetings
- Comfortable selling into founders, CMOs, and senior operators
If you cannot confidently explain how you would scale a DTC brand from $50k/month to $500k/month using paid media, this role is not a fit.
What Does NOT Fit
- Brand marketing or awareness-focused backgrounds
- CTV-only, programmatic-only, or non-DTC experience
- Candidates who require training on paid media fundamentals
- Pure SDRs without closing experience
Nice to Have
- Experience selling:
- Meta and Google Ads management
- Creative strategy or production
- Email/SMS lifecycle marketing
- Retail media (Amazon, Walmart, etc.)
- Existing network within DTC/e-commerce brands
- Familiarity with tools like Triple Whale, Northbeam, Motion, etc.
Compensation
- Base salary + uncapped commission
- 1099 is a possibility with higher commission
- Strong upside for high performers
