Senior Product Engineer

AtTheRate.ai is building the next-generation Marketing AI Operating System: a platform where autonomous AI agents plan, analyze, and execute campaigns

across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, and more.

We are not building another dashboard. We are building an AI-native command center that marketers use to orchestrate, optimize, and automate campaigns in

real time.

As a Product Engineer, you will work across product, design, frontend, backend, AI workflows, integrations, and data systems to turn complex marketing

problems into simple, reliable, high-impact product experiences.

What You Will Own

Product Development

- Build and ship user-facing features across our AI-native marketing platform

- Work closely with product, design, marketing, and customers to understand real workflows

- Translate product requirements into clean, usable, reliable software

- Own features end-to-end, from UX details to backend logic and production behavior

- Improve existing product flows based on usage, feedback, and business priorities

Frontend & User Experience

- Build polished, responsive interfaces using Next.js, React, and TypeScript

- Create dashboards, workflows, forms, analytics views, campaign tools, and AI-assisted experiences

- Care about usability, performance, loading states, empty states, error states, and edge cases

- Make complex campaign and analytics workflows feel simple for marketers

- Collaborate with design while being able to make strong product decisions independently

Backend & Systems

- Build APIs, services, and workflows using Node.js, TypeScript, and Python

- Work with databases, queues, jobs, third-party APIs, and internal platform services

- Integrate with marketing and ecommerce platforms such as Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Amazon, Flipkart, and Blinkit

- Build systems that handle campaign data, recommendations, reporting, automation, and execution

- Ensure features are scalable, observable, and maintainable

AI-Native Product Work

- Build product experiences powered by AI agents and LLM workflows

- Design features where AI helps users plan, analyze, optimize, and execute campaigns

- Work with prompts, structured outputs, tool calls, evaluations, retries, and fallback flows

- Handle non-deterministic AI behavior with thoughtful UX and system safeguards

- Turn AI capabilities into practical product features that users can trust

Data & Analytics

- Build and validate data-heavy product features involving campaign metrics, recommendations, reports, and insights

- Ensure numbers shown in the product are accurate, explainable, and useful

- Work with SQL, data pipelines, scraping/ingestion systems, and analytics logic

- Identify edge cases in attribution, reporting, filtering, aggregation, and platform data mismatches

Reliability & Ownership

- Debug issues across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, jobs, and third-party integrations

- Add tests where they matter most, including API, UI, integration, and critical product flows

- Improve observability through logs, traces, metrics, and error reporting

- Own production issues for the features you build

- Continuously improve product quality, performance, and developer experience

Must-Have Skills / Requirements

- 4+ years of software engineering experience building web products

- Strong experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend development

- Backend experience with Node.js, APIs, services, and database-backed applications

- Good SQL fundamentals, preferably with Postgres

- Strong product sense and ability to make practical UX decisions

- Experience integrating with third-party APIs and debugging real-world API behavior

- Ability to own features end-to-end from product understanding to production release

- Strong debugging mindset across UI, network, backend, data, and logs

- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment with ambiguity

Bonus Points

- Experience building AI-driven products or LLM-powered workflows

- Experience with Python for automation, data workflows, or backend services

- Experience with marketing platforms, ad-tech, ecommerce analytics, or campaign automation

- Experience with scraping, crawlers, data ingestion, or marketplace data

- Experience with queues, workers, cron jobs, or event-driven systems

- Experience with Playwright or other E2E testing frameworks

- Experience building internal tools, dashboards, workflow builders, or analytics products

- Strong design taste or ability to work closely with designers on interaction details

You will be given a real product scenario involving users, data-heavy workflows, UI, integrations, and AI-assisted automation. You will be asked to:
