We're looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join our Growth team for Jira Product Discovery, focused on implementing and optimizing experiences that align with the product strategies, focusing on areas like user acquisition, engagement, and retention.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Build and ship features and capabilities daily in a highly scalable, cross-geo distributed environment;
Be part of an amazingly open and collaborative work environment with other experienced engineers, architects, product managers, and designers;
Review code with best practices of readability, testing patterns, documentation, reliability, security, and performance considerations in mind;
Mentor and level up the skills of your teammates by sharing your expertise in knowledge-sharing sessions;
Ensure full visibility, error reporting, and monitoring of high performing backend services;
Participate in Agile software development including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, team retrospectives, and show-and-tell demo sessions;
You will report directly to your Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

Your background:

4+ years of experience with JavaScript (ES6), TypeScript HTML5, CSS, and experience with modern JS/TS frameworks (for example, React, AngularJS, or Vue);
Experience in working on Growth teams/growth initiatives;
Understanding of modern frontend ecosystem, including bundling, linting, testing, and releasing;
Experience with modern testing frameworks (for example, Jest, Cypress, Mocha, or Chai);
Experience building frontend applications at scale;
Experience in Agile software development methodologies;
Experience in engineering software systems of medium-to-large scope and complexity.
