Senior Data Scientist

Location: Remote | Full-Time | USD 1800 - USD 2500/month

Are you passionate about shaping innovative solutions with data? Atlas Labs is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team. In this critical role, you will leverage video footage to develop and deploy machine learning algorithms and models for behaviour and movement recognition. Your solutions will be optimized for low-latency performance on edge devices, ensuring real-time processing capabilities that classify and interpret behaviour directly from camera inputs.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and implement advanced data models that enhance the performance and accuracy of our equine IoT products.
• Work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to translate raw data into meaningful and impactful solutions.
• Manage end-to-end data science projects, from data collection and analysis to model creation, testing, and optimization.
• Analyze user behaviors and product metrics, delivering strategic insights that inform product development and refinement.
• Mentor and support junior data scientists, fostering an environment of continuous learning and innovation.

What You Bring:

• Educational Background: You have a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in data science.
• Relevant Experience: You bring 3+ years of hands-on experience in building advanced statistical and machine learning models. Demonstrate proficiency in video analysis and classification algorithms.
• Leadership Qualities: You have a proven track record of mentoring and guiding junior data scientists, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
• Programming Skills: You are highly skilled in data science-oriented programming languages, especially Python, allowing you to deliver effective solutions.
• Database Expertise: You are proficient in working with database technologies like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, enabling effective data extraction and analysis.
• ETL Proficiency: You are experienced with ETL tools, capable of streamlining and automating processes to boost efficiency and innovation.
• Communication Skills: You excel in explaining complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring clarity and understanding across teams.
• Fluency in English: You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, articulating your insights and ideas with precision.
• Time Series Analysis: You have strong expertise in time series data, applying it to drive advanced analytics and product insights.
• Visual Workflow Innovation: You have a creative approach to visual-based workflows, bringing new ideas that can enhance how we manage and process visual data.
