About The Role

As the Field Marketing Manager, you are responsible for transforming Athennian’s field presence into a measurable pipeline driver.

Reporting to the Senior Director Content and Performance Marketing, you will design and operationalize a strategic field marketing motion that moves beyond traditional event participation. This role is focused on leveraging in-person and executive-led engagements, including conferences, curated dinners, partner events and proprietary activations, to generate high-quality enterprise pipeline.

You will own the full lifecycle of field initiatives: from planning through onsite enablement and post-event follow-up alignment with Sales. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires strong operational discipline, commercial thinking and the ability to convert executive visibility into measurable opportunity creation. This is not an event coordination role. It is a strategic field marketing position built to accelerate enterprise pipeline through high-leverage, in-person engagement.

What You'll Do

  • Field Marketing Strategy & Channel Ownership: Design and execute Athennian’s field marketing strategy as a revenue-driving channel. You will evaluate and prioritize conferences, curated executive activations and partner events based on pipeline potential, define clear meeting and opportunity targets for each initiative, and shift our presence from passive sponsorships to high-impact, meeting-driven engagement.
  • Event & Executive Activation Execution: Own the end-to-end execution of field initiatives, including industry conferences, executive and prospect dinners, customer events, partner-led activations and proprietary events such as Athennian Day. You will manage vendors, negotiate contracts, oversee logistics and ensure each activation reflects Athennian’s brand and strategic positioning.
  • Sales Alignment & Meeting Acceleration: Partner closely with leadership to define account priorities and meeting booking targets for each event. You will coordinate pre-event activation efforts, ensure executives and sales teams are fully briefed and align post-event follow-up to maximize opportunity conversion.
  • Pipeline Measurement & Optimization: Track meetings booked, opportunities created and pipeline influenced through field efforts. In collaboration with Demand Generation and RevOps, you will ensure accurate attribution, deliver clear performance reporting and continuously refine the field strategy based on measurable outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Integration: Work in close partnership with Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Content and Comms to integrate field marketing into broader campaign efforts, amplify executive visibility and ensure consistent messaging across all in-person engagements.

Qualifications

  • Pipeline-Focused Field Marketing Experience: 4–6+ years of experience in B2B field, event or experiential marketing within SaaS or enterprise-focused organizations. You have a demonstrated ability to connect in-person engagement to measurable pipeline outcomes, not just event execution.
  • Strategic & Operational Fluency: Experience building or refining a field marketing motion rather than simply managing predefined events. You can think at a channel level while also managing contracts, vendors and complex logistics with precision.
  • Enterprise Commercial Acumen: Clear understanding of enterprise buying cycles and long sales motions. You know how to align field efforts to account priorities and work directly with Sales to drive meaningful opportunity creation.
  • Measurement & Reporting Discipline: Comfortable working with CRM and marketing automation platforms (HubSpot preferred) to track meetings, opportunities and pipeline influence. You are able to translate event performance into clear, executive-level insights.
  • Multi-Region Field Experience: Experience coordinating field initiatives across North America and EMEA, with an understanding of regional nuances, compliance considerations and audience expectations.
  • Independent Execution in Lean Environments: Proven ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, growth-stage SaaS company. You take ownership from planning through execution, manage cross-functional stakeholders effectively and deliver high standards without heavy oversight or large-team infrastructure.

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Experience supporting executive-level speaking engagements
  • Exposure to enterprise contract values in the $100k–$500k+ range
  • Experience coordinating curated executive dinners or invite-only activations
  • Background in compliance-heavy, legal, tax or finance-focused SaaS environments
  • Experience supporting partner-led field initiatives or co-marketing activations

The Pay Range For This Role Is

100,000 - 130,000 CAD per year(Remote (Canada))

100,000 - 135,000 USD per year(Remote (United States))
