Role Overview
As the Growth Acquisition Specialist (or Performance Marketing Manager) of our Growth Team, you will be the driving force behind all our paid marketing efforts. You'll manage all paid channels, including but not limited to Google Ads, Facebook, LinkedIn, and any emerging platforms that can generate high ROI for Athena. This role is not just about execution; you'll own the strategy, implementation, and optimization of campaigns that directly impact Athena's growth.
You will be responsible for managing media buying agencies, creative partners, and working closely with our internal tech team to build and optimize marketing funnels. Your goal is to deliver closed-won deals while maintaining or reducing customer acquisition costs (CAC).
Duties & Responsibilities
Strategize and Execute
- Develop, implement, and manage performance marketing campaigns across all paid channels, focusing on driving new XPs and optimizing CPA.
Performance Monitoring
- Supporting the monitoring and analysis of team performance against conversion metrics, aiding in adjustments and optimizations to meet goals.
Agency Management
- Lead and manage relationships with media buying and creative agencies, ensuring they deliver on KPIs and align with Athena’s brand and growth objectives.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the tech and marketing team to set up and optimize direct response funnels, A/B tests, and tracking systems that drive growth and improve conversion rates

Relevant Experience Required
- Experience in Conversion Roles: Experience in participating in growth teams or similar roles within relevant industries such as marketing or digital media.
- Conversion Strategy Execution: A history of involvement in developing and executing conversion strategies that contribute to business growth and support organizational objectives.
- Data Analysis: Experience with analyzing conversion metrics and data to help optimize campaign performance and pinpoint areas for improvement.
- Channel Proficiency: Familiarity with utilizing various conversion channels and techniques, including digital advertising, content marketing, email marketing, and social media, to effectively engage audiences.
Educational and Certification Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in digital marketing with a strong focus on performance marketing and managing paid channels.
- Expertise: Proven track record of managing and optimizing campaigns across Google Ads, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other paid platforms.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable strategies.
- Bonus: You know your way around CRMs.
