Responsibilities**
Ascension is seeking a strategic, hands-on Senior Director of Marketing Science to build and lead a high-performing analytics function that drives accountability, performance, and optimization across the marketing organization. This leader will play a pivotal role in establishing how marketing success is defined, measured, and continuously improved—ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and patient outcomes.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in marketing analytics, a strong understanding of healthcare data, and proven experience leading cross-functional teams. This is a unique opportunity to architect an enterprise-wide measurement strategy that powers smarter media investments, real-time decision-making, and long-term business growth. Your work will directly impact how patients connect with and access care, improving their experience throughout their healthcare journey.
Marketing Science Strategy & Leadership
- Build and lead the marketing science function
- Develop frameworks to measure campaign performance and optimize return on investment (ROI)
- Define enterprise-wide marketing KPIs and performance indicators
- Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making across the marketing organization
- Identify and implement emerging tools, methodologies, and data partnerships to advance measurement capabilities
Attribution, ROI Measurement & Media Modeling
- Lead efforts to connect marketing activities—both digital and offline—to tangible business outcomes (e.g., patient acquisition, care navigation)
- Integrate data across platforms, including CRM and EHR systems, to attribute marketing engagement to real-world patient behavior
- Design and execute media mix models, forecasting tools, and incrementality testing to guide investment strategies
- Develop measurement frameworks across paid, owned, earned, and shared marketing channels
- Partner with Media, CRM, and Market teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in measurement practices
Real-Time Campaign Optimization
- Leverage real-time data and insights to influence audience targeting, spend allocation, and creative optimization
- Deliver actionable insights that drive in-flight campaign performance and continuous improvement
Marketing Data Infrastructure & Technology
- Oversee campaign tagging, UTM governance, and tracking infrastructure (e.g., server-side GTM) to ensure HIPAA-compliance and data integrity
- Manage core analytics platforms including GA4, Salesforce, Tableau, and Datorama
- Ensure scalable, accurate, and accessible reporting systems across teams
- Lead deployment of foundational measurement infrastructure including CallRail, UTMs, and CRM integrations
- Build and maintain standardized performance dashboards that support enterprise KPIs
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with market, strategy, digital, media, CRM, and operations teams to embed analytics into strategic planning and execution
- Partner with internal data science, IT, and finance teams to align on measurement frameworks and performance reporting
- Gather and integrate stakeholder feedback to evolve marketing insights and reporting capabilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of analysts and measurement professionals
- Define team structure, roles, and scalable workflows
- Build and scale the team over time in alignment with organizational growth and evolving analytics needs
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning

Requirements**
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.

Additional Preferences**
Qualifications
- 10–15+ years of experience in marketing analytics, data strategy, or performance measurement
- Proven success building a marketing analytics function from the ground up
- Deep understanding of healthcare data, privacy standards, and HIPAA-compliant analytics practices
- Expertise in attribution modeling, media mix modeling, ROI analysis, and incrementality testing
- Strong grasp of both digital and traditional media measurement
- Proficiency in GA4, Salesforce, Tableau, Datorama, and related tracking tools
- Strong leadership skills and experience building cross-functional teams
- Ability to influence and operate within a matrixed organization
- Preferred: Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance)

Marketing Analytics & Attribution**
- Multi-touch attribution, funnel analysis, and cross-channel measurement
- Media mix modeling and forecasting to guide marketing investment
- Development of marketing KPIs, dashboards, and advanced reporting frameworks
Marketing Data & Technology
- Expertise with GA4, Tableau, Salesforce, Datorama, and modern analytics platforms
- Deep understanding of UTM tagging, server-side tracking, and privacy-first infrastructure
- Knowledge of data architecture, governance, and integration across platforms
- Experience with identity resolution, patient journey mapping, or first-party data enrichment
Collaboration & Leadership
- Ability to translate technical insights into business strategy
- Skilled in cross-functional alignment and stakeholder engagement
- Strong data storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex analyses and influence senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated success building and developing high-performing analytics teams
