About the Role:

Role: Senior Software Engineer – Agentic AI / LLM Infrastructure
Location: Costa Rica (Remote)
Employment Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop autonomous AI agents capable of reasoning, tool usage, and multi-step workflow orchestration
Build and maintain Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers or similar tool orchestration systems
Develop LLM-based pipelines using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar
Design and implement scalable Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems using vector databases
Build high-performance backend services using Python and FastAPI
Develop cloud-native applications using AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, and S3
Design and implement APIs and integrations using REST and GraphQL
Contribute to microservices architecture and distributed systems design
Ensure system reliability through logging, monitoring, and observability best practices
Leverage modern development tools and AI-assisted coding workflows to improve productivity

Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience in software engineering
Strong proficiency in Python (3.10+) with experience in asynchronous programming
Hands-on experience building AI agents or agentic workflows
Experience designing and deploying MCP servers or similar orchestration systems
Experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar
Experience building RAG pipelines and working with vector databases such as Qdrant, Pinecone, or Weaviate
Experience building APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks
Experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures
Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems
Experience working with Docker and containerized environments
