_Job Title: Innovation, Technology & Operations (ITO) Senior Product Manager
An ITO Senior Product Manager at Arvest is responsible for the success of significant products in the organization’s portfolio. They have a deep understanding of a product's target users and customers. They oversee the product roadmap and prioritize developing essential features to achieve strategic goals and initiatives. They craft a near-term product roadmap that aligns with the broader team and company goals, make trade-off decisions that maximize value and define a clear future state for the product. They manage more critical or complicated products independently.
An ITO Senior Product Manager builds buy-in and support for initiatives from senior managers within and outside the product organization, mentors more junior team members, and works with managers to create a concrete, actionable career development roadmap. They ensure the organization builds products that satisfy customers' wants and needs, meet business goals, and align with its core competencies. They communicate, coordinate, and collaborate with stakeholders throughout the product life cycle, working closely with marketing, customer service, finance, and leadership to bring the product strategy together, communicating back with designers and developers. They seek to find product solutions that strike the right balance between various stakeholder and customer needs, and they effectively escalate when a solution cannot be found.
What You’ll Do at Arvest: (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Define strategy, future state, roadmap and success metrics for products and be accountable for the full product lifecycle.
- Bring solutions to market by owning the entire product development process: problem identification, solution design, requirements, implementation, validation, and measurement.
- Help navigate technical and design trade-offs and work with a team to find creative solutions that balance speed and quality. Motivate a team to push through challenges and do what it takes to get an initiative out the door.
- Manage multiple projects and challenging priorities with consistency and transparency while successfully knowing which projects and components of the roadmap to tackle first.
- Provide support and advice to more junior team members, helping them more effectively deliver on initiative goals as applicable.
- Define research needs and inform qualitative and quantitative research, working with design to inform key business initiatives and guide team members in that work when relevant.
- Present and communicate findings to senior leadership regularly, clearly and compellingly. Lead discussions that help inform decision-making across the business.
- Drive documentation, launch plans, position and message for the product.
- Assess results and define the next steps. Make decisions that take into account team and company-level trade-offs. Identify the point of diminishing returns and make the case to slow/stop investment. Perform financial analysis with support from the finance team to ensure the benefits justify the costs.
- Sketch to communicate design ideas for an initiative and partner with the design team to translate them into a higher-fidelity feature representation. Work with the design team to create products that are easy to understand and use.
- Describe complicated and/or interrelated functionality, slice product requirements into multiple releases, and define MVPs and how they will evolve, assuming the project is successful. Include clear epics and user stories supported by the necessary context and acceptance criteria.
- Understand development testing results and coordinate UAT for an initiative to ensure a high-quality launch. Assess the quality of a release and decide whether it meets the release bar. Ensure an adequate balance between feature delivery and resolving technology and design debt.
- Partner closely with design to ensure that the necessary user research is available and incorporated. Gather user input when it’s essential to help make a decision and understand when it is irrelevant to the decision. Research to properly manage risk based on the cost of being wrong vs. research cost. Participate in determining which method of user feedback is most effective for the task at hand in partnership with design, and work with the tools and teams at the company to execute that plan.
- Foster a close relationship with product users and leverage feedback from multiple sources to help prioritize roadmap decisions. Effectively balance user feedback with business needs and constraints to make the right trade-off decisions.
- Work with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to develop a strategic point of view on customers and the business to support the planning of features.
- Assist team members with identifying areas of strength and opportunity. Work with them to find ways to build their skills and improve against the relevant product competencies. Look for opportunities to help them improve and develop into product leaders.
- Teach team members to identify and manage stakeholders by demonstrating good judgment to find the right balance between various stakeholder needs: either incorporating input when appropriate or effectively advocating for what’s been determined to be the best direction for the product and the company.
- Build empathy with the people around you and invest the same care in growing and supporting your team as you do in your product.
- Develop analytical frameworks to solve business problems proactively or reactively, create insights, perform detailed analyses, design and measure experiments, develop customer/product segmentations, forecast key KPIs, and utilize models for various business objectives.
- Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and reporting any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work or military experience.
- 7 years of demonstrated product leadership experience. Relevant experience includes product management, design, product marketing, strategy, or related roles where the following skills are demonstrated:
- Strategic thinking and execution: Ability to define product vision, strategy, and roadmaps aligned with business goals.
- Customer focus: Deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics, with experience conducting quantitative and qualitative product research and/or analysis.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work and deliver across teams and cross-discipline.
- Data-driven decision-making: Skill in leveraging data and analytics to make data-informed decisions.
- Communication and influence: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write technical requirements, product strategies, and solutions to internal and external audiences.
- Experience operating in a regulated industry or similar.
- Business-to-business (B2B) experience.
- Knowledge of the latest trends and best practices of modern product management.
- Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.
