Company Description Art of Active Travel creates thoughtfully crafted active and experiential journeys across some of the world’s most exciting destinations. Our portfolio spans hiking, biking and active cultural experiences, serving predominantly international travellers from the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Europe. We are building a global direct-to-consumer active travel brand with a strong focus on differentiated products and data-driven growth.

Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for a Performance Marketing Manager. The Performance Marketing Manager will plan, execute, and optimize digital campaigns across paid search, social media, display, and other performance channels to drive bookings and brand awareness. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing campaign budgets, monitoring key metrics, running A/B tests, refining audience targeting, and optimizing landing pages and funnels for conversion. The role will collaborate with content, design, and operations teams to develop compelling offers, ensure consistent messaging across channels, and produce regular performance reports and insights for leadership. This position also involves staying current with industry trends, identifying new growth opportunities, and ensuring tracking and analytics are implemented accurately.

Key Responsibilities

Paid Acquisition

  • Own day-to-day performance across Google Ads, Meta and other relevant paid channels
  • Build, launch, optimise and scale campaigns across destinations, activities, geographies and customer segments
  • Allocate budgets based on performance, seasonality and commercial priorities, with accountability for qualified enquiries and bookings
  • Continuously improve campaign structure, keywords, audiences, bidding strategies and creative performance

Google Ads and Meta

  • Manage Search, Performance Max, remarketing and relevant Meta campaigns hands-on
  • Conduct keyword, search-term and competitor analysis; refine negatives, match types, audiences and geographical targeting
  • Diagnose campaigns constrained by budget, ranking, search volume, bidding strategy or structure
  • Build a structured creative and audience-testing process rather than relying on occasional ad refreshes

Funnel and Conversion Optimisation

  • Understand and optimise the complete funnel: click → website visitor → enquiry → qualified enquiry → booking → revenue
  • Work with website and content teams to improve landing pages, offers, messaging and conversion rates
  • Identify where leads are dropping and work with the Sales / CRM team to improve lead quality and follow-up

Measurement and Attribution

  • Ensure accurate tracking across Google Ads, Meta, GA4, CRM and website conversion events
  • Build a reliable view of CAC by channel, campaign, destination and product, connecting advertising spend to actual bookings and revenue
  • Identify attribution gaps and maintain decision-oriented dashboards rather than platform-only reporting

Experimentation and Growth

  • Maintain a structured pipeline of campaign, audience, creative, landing-page and offer experiments
  • Identify new customer segments, destinations and acquisition opportunities through performance and competitor analysis
  • Work with the Fractional CMO to convert broader marketing priorities into measurable acquisition initiatives

What success looks like:

the person in this role should progressively be able to answer:

  • which campaigns, destinations and customer segments produce the highest-quality enquiries and bookings?
  • what is our true customer acquisition cost from click through to booking?
  • where should the next incremental marketing rupee be invested?
  • which campaigns, landing pages, offers and creatives should be scaled, fixed or stopped?
  • why did acquisition performance change, and what should we test next?

success will ultimately be measured by growth in qualified enquiries and bookings while maintaining sustainable customer acquisition economics.

Ideal Profile:

  • 4–6 years of hands-on performance marketing experience; candidates with 3+ years may be considered if they can demonstrate exceptional independent ownership and results
  • strong expertise in google ads, especially search, with good working knowledge of meta advertising
  • experience independently managing meaningful monthly advertising budgets and being accountable for outcomes
  • strong understanding of posthog, ga4, conversion tracking, attribution and crm / lead-to-sale data
  • comfortable analysing cac, conversion rates, booking value, contribution margin and other commercial metrics
  • strong analytical ability and high comfort with spreadsheets and data
  • experience with international markets, travel, hospitality, high-consideration purchases or lead-generation businesses is particularly valuable
  • Prior experience in travel, tourism, or e-commerce performance marketing is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • comfortable operating independently in an entrepreneurial environment where priorities evolve quickly

Who this role may not suit:

this role is unlikely to suit someone whose experience has primarily involved agency coordination or reporting without hands-on campaign ownership; social media management rather than performance marketing; optimising only for clicks or inexpensive leads; or working without connecting advertising performance to actual sales and revenue.

Compensation:

₹12–16 lakh ctc per annum, depending on experience and demonstrated capability. we may stretch for an exceptional candidate with strong experience scaling international d2c or high-consideration lead-generation businesses.

we are looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with strong execution and wants to take direct ownership of building a scalable performance marketing engine for a growing global travel brand.
