Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fire Protection Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and implementing fire protection systems across various projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive fire protection system designs utilizing AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD tools to create detailed schematics and layouts.
- Conduct root cause analysis on fire safety incidents and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
- Manage project scheduling to ensure timely delivery of fire protection solutions across multiple projects.
- Perform systems engineering tasks, integrating programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and mechanical components into cohesive fire safety systems.
- Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and systems engineers during construction and manufacturing phases to ensure system integrity and compliance.
- Utilize data collection and analysis skills for research purposes, testing fire suppression systems in laboratory environments.
- Apply knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and 3D scanning technologies for precise system design and validation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields; advanced degrees such as Quantum Engineering or Mechanical Design are a plus.
- Proven experience with project management tools and project scheduling methodologies in engineering contexts.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MATLAB, Python scripting, C++, and data analysis software for system design and testing purposes.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, construction practices, and laboratory testing environments related to fire safety systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles, schematics creation, CAD modeling, and 3D scanning techniques.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), civil engineering concepts, or mechanical knowledge is highly desirable.
- Excellent research skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets for system optimization.

Pay: From $45.00 per hour
