About the Job

At Arkellis, our mission is to build digital twin solutions for enabling digital transformation. As a member of our Cloud Engineering Team, you will play an integral part in making that happen, navigating us into the future and impacting the lives of people all around the world.

The Cloud Engineering Team design and build the core solutions, products, tools, frameworks, and SDKs that will be used in different products and solutions. As a member of Cloud Engineering Team, you’ll be working closely to create rich 3D interactive applications and services. These tools span a wide variety of technologies from AngularJS, React, C#, SQL, microservices and other cloud offerings. We expect all our systems to run with a DevOps model with all forms of automation to deliver the best possible services.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a collaborative environment, following agile development practices to design and develop enterprise scale applications on cloud platforms.

Our goal is to deliver the best in-class productivity suite for developing digital twin solutions. We are looking for a Software Engineer to help build productivity suite of software for digital twins.

If you are passionate about designing and developing solutions using cutting-edge technologies, delivery of high-quality core components that will power the client and front-end experiences for our products and want to work on a team dedicated to creating compelling digital twin experiences, we need you!

What you’ll do

As a Software Engineer in the Cloud Engineering Team you will:

  • Design and Develop platforms, tools, SDKs, frameworks, and services
  • Identify and drive service and product improvements
  • Partner with other teams to improve products and processes to drive delightful end-user experiences
  • Gain a working understanding of digital twin technology and services
  • Provide technical subject-matter expertise in creating cloud-first large-scale services
  • Work in small, focused teams with talented developers.
  • Coach and mentor junior developers on the team.
  • Participate in and lead modern software engineer practices through design reviews, code reviews and post-project reports.
  • Use data-driven approaches to deliver solutions that fit our vision and customers’ needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working on large scale services
  • Build responsive and engaging front-end experiences using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience in React, ThreeJS and Typescript are mandatory
  • Experience developing large scale online services/applications that are secure and have robust performance and reliability
  • Architect, build, and maintain UX component libraries that adhere to modern web standards and accessibility guidelines.
  • Experience with service infrastructure, frameworks, and technologies such as Azure DevOps, and Git
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with a focus on security, privacy, and engineering excellence.
  • Exceptional teamwork and values that foster a positive team culture
  • Knowledge of common services design patterns and application development best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to ramp up on both new and old technologies
  • Experience in working within an agile software development team, leveraging experimentation and prototyping, while continuing to measure and iterate
  • Proven ability to work through the full DevOps lifecycle from initial design to final product to live site support
  • Proven fundamental understanding of how to deliver end-to-end scenarios with security, reliability, and engineering quality in mind
  • Ability to learn and work effectively in a highly ambiguous, rapidly evolving environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Design, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience
  • An ideal candidate would have experience driving initiatives for a large-scale global service, have a passion for service and cloud architecture, have immense curiosity, have excellent oral and written communication skills, enjoy solving challenging, ambiguous problems, and enjoy coaching both junior and senior engineers on how to improve component and service designs to meet scalability, performance, and cost goal
  • Proficiency in RESTful web services technologies (preferably Web APIs)
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals (OOPS, data structures, algorithms, async programming patterns, object-oriented design).
  • Proven experience working in a team environment on a shared code base.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Sprints, etc.
