As a Marketing Director at Argo, you will serve as the strategic marketing leader in a fractional capacity across a portfolio of multi-location local businesses, including home services, hospitality, and business services.  You'll guide clients through foundational marketing strategy, operational planning, and oversee campaign execution. Working closely with internal channel teams (SEO, Paid Media, Content, etc.) and client-owned vendor relationships, you’ll be responsible for driving alignment between client goals and tactical execution.

You’ll be expected to lead clients through key foundational deliverables, including marketing audits, brand positioning, GTM plans, and campaign calendar development. Additionally, you will support implementation through hands-on collaboration and the enablement of local teams.

YOU’LL ALSO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Conducting Marketing Audits and Opportunity Assessments, including stakeholder interviews and executive summary delivery.
  • Leading the creation of Brand & Messaging Frameworks, including positioning, personas, tone, and brand guidelines.
  • Building and updating 12-Month Marketing Plans, broken down quarterly with clear strategic priorities and channel initiatives.
  • Running Kickoff Strategy Workshops and Customer Journey Mapping with client stakeholders.
  • Operationalizing marketing through:
  • Campaign launch processes (brief → creative → launch → recap).
  • Content planning and approval workflows.
  • Lead capture, tracking systems, email nurture flows, and basic CRM integrations.
  • Reputation management systems at the store/location level.
  • Creating and delivering Monthly Marketing Reports and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with actionable insights and optimization plans.
  • Supporting client enablement through documentation: checklists, templates, scripts, and wikis.
  • Collaborating with internal specialists to execute SEO, Paid Media, Content, Email, Social and other initiatives in alignment with the client roadmap.
  • Managing budgets, measuring ROI, and reporting on performance KPIs like traffic, CPL, engagement, and local visibility.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic marketing roles, preferably with multi-location businesses.
  • Proven success leading GTM strategy, brand development, and multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with experience managing execution across internal and external teams.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills; comfort leading client workshops and presenting to executives.
  • Familiarity with common tools such as (required in bold):
  • Project Management (e.g., Trello, Asana)
  • Analytics & Reporting (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker Studio)
  • CRM & Marketing Automation (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp)
  • Reputation Management (e.g., Podium, Birdeye)
  • Creative Tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in performance reporting and strategic pivots.

GOOD-TO-HAVES

  • Background in working with local or franchise businesses in home services, hospitality, or B2B service sectors.
  • Knowledge of CRM workflows, loyalty programs, geo-targeted campaigns, SMS marketing, and influencer strategies.
  • Experience building internal wikis, training guides, or enablement tools for field-level teams.
  • Familiarity with store-level dashboards and local marketing KPIs.

HOW TO APPLY

Please submit:

  • A resume and brief cover letter detailing your experience with strategic marketing leadership and with local marketing or multi-location businesses.
  • Examples of marketing plans, campaign playbooks, or audits you’ve developed.
