Position Title

Director – Marketing, SAP Business Unit

Location & Travel

  • Primary Location: Flexible within North America; proximity to major airport preferred
  • Travel: ~10 – 25 %

The Director – Marketing for Argano’s SAP Business Unit is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and implementing the marketing strategy specific to our SAP line of business. This role requires a strategic thinker and experienced marketer who can align marketing initiatives with the business goals of a fast-paced, enterprise-focused consulting organization.

This individual will lead the planning and execution of innovative marketing strategies to support pipeline growth, brand visibility, and customer engagement across the SAP ecosystem. The Director will oversee and coordinate with cross-functional teams, manage campaigns, and ensure consistency in messaging and execution across channels.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a visionary and complex marketing strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing marketing team.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to drive overall business strategy.
  • Drive innovation in marketing approaches and technologies.
  • Direct and implement the organization's advertising and promotional activities.
  • Analyze target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches.
  • Identify new market segments that will benefit from company products and services.
  • Collaborate with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization.
  • Forecast, draft, implement, and oversee the department's operating budget.
  • Oversee the budget and resource allocation for marketing initiatives.
  • Represent the company in external-facing marketing efforts, events, and partnerships.

Education

MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field required.
  • MBA or relevant master's degree preferred.

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong experience in enterprise technology marketing; SAP Marketing experience highly preferred.
  • Prior experience working in or closely with Big 4 consulting firms orin a Systems Integration context is a strong plus.
  • Proven success in developing and implementing strategic marketing plans.
  • Deep understanding of traditional and digital marketing channels.
  • Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional marketing initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage large teams and significant budgets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills.

  • Team Leadership: Proven ability to mentor and guide a high-performing team.
  • Project Management: Skilled in coordinating complex marketing projects with timely execution.

  • Stakeholder Management: Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Budget Oversight: Experience managing and allocating marketing budgets across multiple initiatives.
  • Global Marketing: Ability to adapt strategies across different markets and geographies.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work across departments and with external partners.
  • Market Research: Strong understanding of industry trends and market dynamics.
