Job Summary:

The candidate for this position will be responsible for developing and maintaining cross platform system & networking components (on Linux/Unix, Windows) for Arcserve's flagship High Availability and Disaster recovery product.

This position requires exceptional C/C++ skills and knowledge of OS internals.

The candidate will join the distributed agile team and will work on the implementation of new product features & new platforms certifications. Responsibilities will also include research/POC activities and work on customer issues.

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree and 10 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
• 7+ years of continuous hands-on experience with cross platform development using C++ (must be fluent with dev tool chains and OS internals on both Windows and Linux).
• proficiency with OOP, algorithms, patterns & data structures (i.e., standard CS background)
• must have prior experience with developing system and networking software (mandatory)
• programming experience with at least one of the popular DB (e.g., MSSQL, SQLite, MySQL, Oracle ...)
• Experience with developing kernel mode drivers (Linux/Windows) is a huge bonus
• Experience in storage/backup/virtualization areas is a big plus
• Windows COM model/programming techniques is a plus
• C# and/or python is a plus
