Software Engineer in Test- Remote – Contract- 200- 280€
Our client, a global leader in the travel-tech industry, is seeking a Software Engineer in Test to help drive software quality and innovation. About the Role:
As a Software Engineer in Test, you’ll work alongside Software Quality Engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to enhance quality processes, refine test automation strategies, and maintain a robust infrastructure. You’ll be hands-on in building and optimizing test automation suites, with a strong focus on APIs and Microservices, ensuring seamless user experiences and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automation suites and component tests for APIs and applications.
- Track, analyze, and refine automation metrics to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Mentor and support junior team members, sharing best practices in automation.
- Take full ownership of squad-owned automation suites.
- Manage bug reporting and issue tracking through Jira, ensuring timely resolution.
- Support production, patch management, and security audits, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure on-time, high-quality software delivery in Google Cloud Platform environments.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring transparency on activities that impact business goals.
What You Bring:
- 4+ years in Software Quality Assurance, specializing in APIs, Microservices, and Test Automation.
- Hands-on experience with Jest TS, Postman, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Apigee, JMeter, TypeScript, Node.js, JavaScript, Cucumber, and Gherkin.
- Expertise in cloud-based environments, particularly Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong people skills, fostering a culture of collaboration, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations, competing priorities, and escalations in a fast-paced setting.
- Bonus: Experience with BDD methodologies and modern quality approaches.
