Come be an integral part of the team revolutionizing the user experience of the sports industry. We are building the next generation of cloud-based, sports management software and need user-focused, driven, collaborative designers with excitement around AI tools along with an entrepreneurial spirit to help guide the way.

With 4-5 years’ experience delivering proven UX solutions, you will be responsible for improving the user experience of one of our most important web platforms, setting a new bar for user experience and workflows around families and students. You’ll be a champion for the customer, understand their jobs to be done, and proactively deliver outcome-driven solutions into their hands. You will be able to learn from more experienced designers, be supported by a world-class leadership team, and have a dramatic impact on some very important features.

You’ll play a critical role in setting UX standards. We’re looking for someone passionate about inclusive design and the capability to understand business strategy, who can contribute to the shared understanding among diverse team members. Your ability to help your team focus on problem-based outcomes rather than output will be essential to your success.

What You’ll Do

• Plan and conduct generative user research along with the product manager and other team members.
• Use proven UX tools and techniques (both AI and conventional) to generate ideas & evaluate their merit.
• Define the IA & interactions based on data, user research, & iteration.
• Contribute to the development of a panel of user research participants to streamline the participant recruiting process.

Skills You’ll Need

• Knowledge of both UX and UI best practices, along with the wisdom and understanding of how and when to apply each discipline
• Knowledge of UI design best practices and principles and experience applying them
• A working knowledge of both generative and evaluative User Research techniques
• A portfolio showing your design process and how you approach solving business problems
• Experience with a variety of strategic, low-fidelity, high fidelity, & research techniques and a knowledge of when to use each one
• We use Figma as our primary design tool. Experience with other tools such as Sketch, XD, or similar would also work.
• We use AI tools to help us with both the UX and UI disciplines.
• Strong comfort level with a team-focused iterative design process.
• Ability to think creatively within business and engineering constraints.
• A deep appreciation for simple solutions to complex problems.
• Ability to defend design decisions with data, empathy, & logic.
• Ability to receive constructive criticism and leave ego at the door.

Experience To Set You Apart

• Experience building Enterprise-level, international SaaS platforms.
• Experience using various AI tools to create UI mockups, UX research, and Usability testing.
• Knowledge of sports officiating and management.
• Knowledge of and passion for Design Thinking, Atomic Design, and Jobs To Be Done.
• Working knowledge in HTML/CSS/Javascript and a knack for creating designs that are technically feasible.
• Understanding of business and ability to think strategically about how design fits into the business strategy.
• Iconography Design skills are a plus.
