Software Engineer, Back End

Overview

As a Mid-Level Backend Engineer, you'll be at the heart of our technical infrastructure, building and optimizing the systems that power our gaming platform. You'll work with a talented engineering team to develop robust, scalable solutions that support millions of player interactions daily. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and RESTful APIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and enhance existing functionality
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code that meets our quality standards
• Optimize database queries and application performance to ensure seamless user experiences
• Implement and maintain integrations with payment processors and third-party gaming systems
• Contribute to our AWS cloud infrastructure through monitoring, scaling, and continuous improvement
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to elevate our engineering practices

Requirements

• 2-4 years of professional experience in backend development
• Strong proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript in production environments
• Experience with MySQL database design, optimization, and query performance
• Practical knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.)
• Understanding of serverless architecture patterns and event-driven systems
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and debugging skills
• Experience working in agile development teams with regular delivery cycles
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools
• Knowledge of the online gaming industry or payment processing systems
• Familiarity with React or other modern front-end frameworks
• Previous work with high-volume, real-time applications
• Contributions to open-source projects or relevant technical communities
