Senior Android Platform Engineer – Embedded Systems

📍 Remote | Full-time

Are you passionate about building and maintaining the foundational layers of Android-based systems? We’re hiring a Senior Android Platform Engineer to focus on deep system-level development — this is not a traditional mobile app role.

In this role, you’ll work on Android-powered embedded systems, contributing to platform stability, communication layers, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate has experience working with custom hardware, embedded environments, and the internals of the Android operating system.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain platform-level components within the Android framework
• Implement communication channels between hardware interfaces and background services
• Diagnose and resolve system-level issues across customized hardware configurations
• Write clean, testable code across multiple layers of the Android architecture
• Collaborate with engineering teams across hardware, firmware, and software domains

What We’re Looking For

• Strong understanding of Android’s internals and customization workflows
• Hands-on experience working on embedded systems or non-standard Android form factors
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, and/or C/C++
• Experience with system diagnostics, performance tuning, and debugging
• Familiarity with modern dev tools for build automation, issue tracking, and CI/CD pipelines
