Job Description:
Our client entertains the world and are constantly innovating on how entertainment is imagined, created, and delivered to a global audience. We currently stream content in more than 30 languages across 190 countries, serving over 220 million paid subscribers. Our client's Design team is searching for a highly ambitious, detail-oriented, and experienced Product Designer who will drive projects specific to our Discovery experience. This role will craft consumer-facing features that will enhance how members discover, engage with, and experience games on the platform. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, research, and design colleagues to create and revise experiences on both TV and Web platforms. This is a remote-friendly role (within the US), with the freedom to set your own work-from-home schedule. There may be opportunities to meet onsite in Los Gatos and Los Angeles for cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an informed point-of-view and unify partners through clear documentation and communication.
- Collaborate with the Games design team and cross-functional partners to explore, test, and evolve new experiences.
- Take ownership of in-progress projects to carry them across to the test and production.
- Own the end-to-end design process—from early design exploration to quality UI designs and final specs, while working closely with cross-functional partners to hit objectives and milestones.
Experience:
- Proven Experience: 6+ years as a Product Designer (or equivalent experience) with a strong portfolio showcasing consumer-facing and discovery-based design work.
- Cross-Platform Expertise: Experience designing for TV and web platforms, with a deep understanding of how to create cohesive experiences across devices.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A track record of developing solid solutions for complex design challenges within existing frameworks, particularly in consumer discovery.
- Collaboration and Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to excite stakeholders, articulate a clear vision, and bring internal partners along with you.
Ideal Candidate:
- Familiarity with gaming, promotional, or media-related design is a plus.
- Experience with design systems and how a proposed design impacts workflow scale and localization.
- Experience designing for TV and the unique interaction patterns specific to that platform.
- A deep understanding of how to design for both technical and non-technical audiences,particularly in the gaming or entertainment industries.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $125/hr - $155/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
