As the Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving new business acquisition through organic and paid search channels. Your expertise will be essential in optimising campaigns, managing agency partnerships, and extracting actionable insights from data to maximise ROI. This role offers a unique blend of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and collaborative teamwork, allowing you to make a significant contribution to the company’s success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day SEM activities, including PPC, SEO, and affiliate marketing, to achieve business targets.
  • Manage and optimise PPC campaigns, focusing on performance, reporting, and cost management.
  • Plan and execute SEO workstreams, driving continuous improvement and aligning with commercial priorities.
  • Maintain and expand the existing affiliate marketing footprint.
  • Manage agency project teams, providing guidance and training to junior members.
  • Support regular forecasting and budget planning exercises.
  • Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to develop website content, enhance customer experiences, and contribute to the ongoing development of company websites.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in SEM marketing, particularly in LLMs, Generative AI, First Party Data, and online tracking & attribution.
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with company policies, including compliance, conduct, consumer duty, and privacy.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Proven experience in coordinating and delivering SEM campaigns, agency-side.
  • Strong understanding of core SEM disciplines, including PPC and SEO campaign management.
  • Excellent process management and administrative skills.
  • Commercial/financial awareness.
  • Strong numeracy and digital analytics skills, with proficiency in tools like Excel, Looker Studio, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, SA360, and AWIN.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Marketing experience in a regulated industry such as finance.
