Job Title: Data Scientist Associate
Location: EU – remote based (100% full time)
Duration: 8 months

With a strong focus on clinical trials, regulatory affairs, and real-world evidence, this company supports pharmaceutical and biotech companies in bringing innovative therapies to market efficiently and in compliance with international standards.
Responsibilities:
- Managing overall data structure within the Data Dictionary system and supporting the project lead with the addition, modification and potential removal of objects, fields, picklists and attributes.
- Managing definitions/metadata:
- Supporting the definition of new metadata elements required in the Data Dictionary by collaborating with the data/process owners to obtain input.
- Manage system activity within the Data Dictionary to ensure updates are progressed appropriately.
- Strong Regulatory Business understanding: Knowledge of Regulatory CMC, Labelling and Reg Operations data domains
- Ensure ongoing system compliance
- Communication, training and documentation:
- As required, define modifications made to the data dictionary in appropriate documentation.
- Communicate with key stakeholders of key updates, risks, and decisions as appropriate.
- Train data dictionary users on process and best practice as deemed necessary by the project lead.
- Data quality checks: Execute data quality checks as defined by the maintenance process and ensure appropriate remediation/follow-up activity is performed.
- Review the data types of fields to ensure they remain appropriate and up to date with the RIM system configuration.
- Support the production of a data quality improvement report to close sub-workstream including assumptions, strategies addressed, decisions etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science; Computer Science or equivalent
- Veeva Vault RIM and associated objects
- Power BI
- Tableau
- Data management, regulatory metadata, knowledge of databases, understanding of data regulation
- Data governance
- The development and implementation of a data dictionary to provide data definitions, business rules, RACI, data dictionary consistency and report usage.
