The impact you’ll make
- Scale from 1× to 10×. Partner with Design, Ops, and Growth to launch features that let us serve 10× more families - while keeping our 5-star hospitality intact.
- Ship full-stack. Own projects end-to-end across FastAPI microservices, Postgres (Supabase), async workloads (Inngest), and Next.js web apps.
- Automate the logistics. Build tools that turn complex, time-sensitive operations into seamless experiences for customers and internal teams.
- Rethink consumer touchpoints. Help us reinvent the traditional obituary/memorial page for the Apple-Pay, Partiful, Paperless Post era.
- Level-up the team. Coach 2-4 stellar engineers, set technical direction, and hire the next wave of talent.
What sets you up for success?
Must-have Experience
- 4-8 years professional software development, with 2+ years in early-stage startups.
- Fluency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; comfortable across the stack.
- Strong product sense - you ship MVPs, measure, iterate.
- Proven track record leading projects or small teams while still coding daily.
- U.S. work authorization † and ability to work core U.S. hours.
Nice-to-have Experience
- Background in logistics, marketplace, fintech, or health-tech products.
- Familiarity with Fly.io, Supabase, Inngest, or similar tooling.
- Prior work with AI coding agents or LLM-powered product features.
- Portfolio of customer-facing UI work (Next.js, React).
- Experience scaling ops-heavy platforms.
