Senior Software Engineer

Position Overview

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to take ownership of front-end development engineering and help shape the future of product architecture. In this role, you’ll be a hands-on leader responsible for setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, and delivering high-impact features across a React Native and React ecosystem.

This is a remote position blending technical leadership and active coding (roughly 50–60% of your time). You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, guiding architectural choices and contributing directly to a platform that powers financial technology solutions.

Work Location: This role is primarily remote. Candidates based in Alpharetta, GA or Pensacola, FL also have the option to work from an office.

What You’ll Do

Technical Impact

• Define and implement front-end architecture using React Native (Expo), React, and TypeScript
• Build and maintain shared component libraries and UI frameworks for scalability
• Pitch in with Node.js services to support full-stack delivery
• Champion security and compliance within fintech applications

Leadership Impact

• Drive architectural decisions that influence multiple teams
• Mentor and coach 3–5 engineers on technical excellence and career development
• Create and enforce engineering standards, code review practices, and design guidelines
• Evaluate and integrate emerging tools and technologies into the stack

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Deep expertise with React and React Native (proven production apps)
• Strong TypeScript skills
• Experience designing scalable systems and application architecture
• Full-stack background with Node.js (preferred)
• Prior leadership or mentorship experience

Bonus Points For

• Background in fintech or regulated industries
• Familiarity with React Native’s New Architecture
• Knowledge of ExpressJS or related Node.js frameworks
• Experience with mobile security practices
• Contributions to open source projects
