Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in backend development with PHP
• Strong proficiency with Laravel, including experience with Blade templating
• Solid understanding of relational databases (especially PostgreSQL); experience with NoSQL/non-relational databases is a plus
• Experience configuring and extending CraftCMS, or similar PHP-based CMS platforms
• Familiarity with Docker, GitHub, and GitHub Actions
• Experience in testing, static code analysis, and linting tools common in the PHP/Laravel ecosystem (e.g. PHPUnit, PHPStan, Pest, Laravel Pint)
• Experience building serverless applications using AWS Lambda
• Comfortable developing and maintaining stateless REST APIs and middleware layers
• Understanding of asynchronous processing, caching strategies, and large-scale system architecture is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (especially AWS) is a strong advantage
• Strong commercial experience in developing maintainable and scalable backend systems
• Experience working in agile and cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
• Fast learner, open to exploring new tools and technologies as needed

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Laravel and PHP
• Configure and extend CraftCMS to support custom business logic and integrations
• Build and optimize serverless functions using AWS Lambda
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for seamless frontend integration
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, designers, and business stakeholders
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using PHP best practices
• Define development tasks, provide time estimates, and take ownership of delivery
• Present technical solutions to clients and peers in a clear, structured way
• Analyze and improve features based on QA reports and user feedback
• Support the growth of the team by sharing knowledge and mentoring peers
