As a Visual Designer/UI Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the user experience across our internal mobile and web-based platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and business analysts, to create intuitive, visually compelling, and user-friendly interfaces. You will leverage your expertise in web design, business process mapping, and Figma (or related design tool) to bring both creative and functional solutions to life. Looking for 3-5 years of experience with Figma and Jira.

This role is 100% remote, contract to hire. Salary will be between $90 -115K. Hourly pay rate between 50-60/hr. W2. Those who apply need to have a portfolio that highlights mark-ups and user journey's. No C2C. No 3rd party vendors.

UI Design & Standardization

Design intuitive, functional interfaces for internal desktop and mobile applications.
Create mockups, wireframes, and design specs using Figma.
Establish and document UI standards (e.g., color schemes, button behavior, menu layouts) for future builds and retrofits.

User Journey & Business Process Mapping

Focus on user flows and transactional efficiency over visual flair.
Map business processes to inform design decisions and streamline workflows.

Collaboration & Agile Development

Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts.
Translate business requirements into design stories within Jira.
Participate in design reviews and provide actionable feedback.

Portfolio & Framework Development

Present a portfolio that clearly outlines your role, contributions, and impact.
Help build a UI framework from scratch—there’s no existing outline, so your strategic thinking is key.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: 3–5 years in UI Design, preferably with internal or enterprise applications.

Tools: Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with Jira.

Skills:

Strong understanding of UI principles and responsive design.
Experience with business process flows and user journey mapping.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in Agile environments.
Clear communication and documentation skills.
