Knowledge and Skills Required:
- 8+ years of experience in construction
- Experience in fast paced remodel, tenant-improvement, multi-site roll out
- Strong background with Big-Box Retail, QSR/Fast Casual Restaurants
- Ability to manage multiple sites and crews/teams at any given time
- Good understanding of MEP Building Systems
- Familiarity with Project Management software
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Charting out the project objective, schedules, setting performance requirements, and selecting project participants.
- Coordinating optimum utilization of resources – Labor, Materials, and Equipment, along with ensuring their procurement at most cost-effective terms.
- Implementation of project management operations throughout proper coordination.
- Development of effective communications and mechanisms for preventing/resolving conflicts among the various Stakeholders.
- Oversee multi-site rollout/construction projects from start to finish.
- Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.
- Create the team, develop the objectives/goals of each and assign individual roles and responsibilities.
- Project accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking team expenses, and minimizing exposure and risk in the project.
- Ensure the construction activities move according to a predetermined schedule.
- Devise the project work plans and make revisions as and when need arises.
- Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project.
- Coordinate and track the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the Apex Tech, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors, and company resources.
- Managing procurement processes, including bid evaluations, contract negotiations and vendor selection (Adhering to Strategic Sourcing Rates and Guidelines).
- Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all subcontractors/stakeholders (internal and external).
- Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality, and safety standards.
- Ensure all project documentation is complete.
- Lead quality assurance.
- Conducting regular site inspections to assess project progress, quality, identify risks, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.
- Serve as a key link with the clients and review the deliverable prepared by the team before passing onto partners.
- Monitoring and Reporting on performance/output to Stakeholders (Budget, Timelines and Quality). Provide analytics/performance metrics/Budget tracking to all stakeholders (internal).
- Lead all necessary regulations and permits.
- Conduct thorough project evaluations and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary corrective measures.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
