Apartment List is seeking a Senior Manager, Growth & Marketing Analytics to elevate our marketing measurement capabilities and drive more efficient, data-informed growth and user acquisition channel diversification. Reporting to the VP of Data & Insights, this role will lead marketing analytics strategy across user acquisition and retention channels, serve as a thought partner to marketing leadership, and build a culture of insight, experimentation, and action. This is a high-impact, cross-functional leadership role that requires a strong mix of analytical rigor, business intuition, strong cross-functional communications, and team development and collaboration skills.
As Senior Manager, Growth & Marketing Analytics on our Data & Insights team, you will focus on our expanding user growth channels, drive the analytics and measurement approach roadmap, implement impact measurement models, partner closely with finance and performance marketing leadership on budgeting decisions, multi-channel performance analysis, demand forecasting, and new channel experimentation. This position is equal parts strategic decision making, analytical innovation, and meticulous execution. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise in performance marketing analytics, and is skilled in stakeholder partnership and project management with an ownership mindset and enthusiasm toward driving the direction of marketing data and analytics.
Responsibilities
Lead analytics for marketing measurement:
Drive the end-to-end performance marketing measurement strategy: attribution and incrementality testing and modeling, demand and cost forecasting and analysis, and budgeting
Build and evaluate frameworks for ROAS evaluation, multi-touch attribution, and conversion lift analyses
Develop and maintain sophisticated LTV models that account for user behavior patterns, retention curves, monetization potential, and cohort-specific characteristics
Establish LTV-to-CAC ratio targets by channel, audience segment, and acquisition source to optimize marketing investments
Proactively investigate signal drift, data anomalies, and LTV model integrity
Partner with stakeholders to embed analytics in decision making:
You will partner closely with Growth, Marketing, and Finance and serve as a strategic thought partner to Growth and Marketing leadership on channel expansion, audience strategies, and marketing efficiency
Support a technical and analytical team:
Mentor and manage a growing team, beginning with the Growth Marketing Analytics Lead
Own the roadmap for performance analytics tooling in collaboration with Analytics Engineering and Marketing teams
Translate complex findings into clear recommendations for C-suite and senior leadership
Contribute to financial planning and forecasting
Partner with Finance to align LTV methodologies with financial planning and reporting requirements
Create forward-looking forecasting models that incorporate seasonality, market conditions, and product roadmap impacts
Key Qualifications
8+ years of experience in marketing analytics and performance marketing measurement, with at least 2+ years in a team leadership role.
Proven track record leading performance marketing measurement at a consumer-focused, growth-oriented company with $50M+ in ad spend
Expert level SQL
Proficiency in building out reporting in visualization tools (Looker, Tableau or similar), and navigating tools like GA4
Strong business acumen and communication skills; comfortable engaging with exec stakeholders
Expertise in complex marketing analytics concepts such as incrementality testing, media mix modeling, LTV analyses, and multi-touch attribution
Experience in designing and evaluating experiments (geo tests, holdout tests, A/B tests)
Scrappy and proactive problem-solver with a test-and-learn mindset
Nice to haves:
