IT Project Manager - East Coast USA - 12 month contract - $70ph - Inc / $60ph - W2
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Project Manager to oversee a critical technology integration project for multiple recently acquired organizations. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a complex integration initiative, involving a range of key workstreams, including System Migration, Data Migration, QA/Testing, and Bespoke Development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing cross-functional teams using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, ensuring the successful and seamless integration of systems, data, and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technology integration project for organizations recently acquired, ensuring that all project deliverables are met on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Manage and coordinate the following workstreams:
- System Migration: Oversee the transition of systems from the acquired organizations to the parent company’s infrastructure.
- Data Migration: Ensure the accurate and secure transfer of data, collaborating closely with data teams to clean, transform, and validate data.
- QA/Testing: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to plan, execute, and validate testing processes, ensuring all systems and data migrations meet performance and functionality standards.
- Bespoke Development: Work closely with development teams to manage any custom solutions and software integrations required for a smooth transition.
- Apply Waterfall methodology for structured, sequential tasks and Agile methodology for iterative development processes, ensuring flexibility and timely delivery of project milestones.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and make recommendations to ensure project success.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and progress.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, preferably in technology integration, mergers & acquisitions, or IT transformation projects.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with System Migration, Data Migration, QA/Testing, and Bespoke Development.
- Expertise in managing projects using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, with the ability to adapt based on project needs.
- Also required is sound experience of Raid Logs and KPI's (impact and progress)
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to handle challenges and keep the project on track.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in reporting to senior stakeholders.
- A background in IT, software development, or a related technical field is highly desirable.
