Due to continued growth and increasing customer demand, the Comsearch team within ANDREW is seeking to add a Software Engineer to our organization.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World

The Software Engineer will be responsible for working on green-field projects while working with the rest of the group to integrate new features into existing web applications. Key responsibilities include developing software, ensuring code quality and industry standards. This role will operate within an Agile development framework and involves cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including software development, marketing, and customer service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication stills, cross-team collaboration and the ability to include tests with strong coverage as features are developed and enhanced.

Technologies include: AWS, TypeScript (React, NodeJS, Canvas) Python, C++ and Java. Collaborating with Project Managers, this person will prototype as well as build tested, production ready software. This role will collaborate with Operations when prototyping environments for new features and applications. This position will perform code reviews for peers and code according to industry best practices and internal style guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop software based on requirements shared by Project Managers.
• Participate in two-week sprints for frequent reevaluation on evaluation and requirements.
• Integrate team-member's input on code quality and coding style.
• Collaborate Project Managers and with other software engineering teams to prioritize products, features, and initiatives.
• Create prototype examples of new features to provide Project Managers rapid feedback and visibility into progress.
• Review and provide feedback for other team member's contributions based on internal coding standards, style guides and industry best practices.
• Contribute to technology and product roadmap planning to identify new and emerging growth opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• 10 years experience in the software development field
• Strong focus on Web Applications using Typescript (NodeJS, React), Python, SQL and Java
• Familiarity with embedded systems and ability to work with and contribute to low level code bases (C, C++)
• Ability to prototype infrastructure needs through AWS and collaborate with Operations Team to realize features as they begin to be added to various environments.
• Ability to aid, direct debugging sessions and follow up on issues that may arise with the software throughout the lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to support data-driven visualizations, create and support graphs and dashboards to present metrics and overviews of data sets.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Familiarity with team collaboration tools such as JIRA.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and drive alignment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
