SUMMARY
The Marketing Project Manager/Account Executive will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing various marketing projects from conception to completion. The Account Executive will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams, including, but not limited to, account management, creative, digital, data intelligence, account services and other departments, to ensure the successful delivery of marketing campaigns and initiatives. The Account Executive will utilize their project management skills in this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Project Management and Execution
Develop, monitor, and manage comprehensive campaign schedules.
Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and key success criteria.
Communicate project updates, timelines, and deliverables to client, internal, and external teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Serve as a key point of contact for project communications and address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Manage the flow of creative deliverables, assets, and approvals between agency and clients through all stages of development.
Ensure the quality of creative deliverables meets the brief and established best practices.
Address and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during campaign execution.
Ensure the quality of all deliverables meets or exceeds agency standards.
Conduct thorough reviews and capture stakeholder approvals before finalizing project assets.
2. Budget Oversight and Billing
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely billing.
Manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensure adherence to project scope and document all changes.
Provide regular budget updates to key stakeholders.
Contribute to accurate financial reports and forecasts.
3. General Responsibilities
Assist in the training of new team members.
Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
Assist with special projects or provide backup support across teams and/or departments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years’ years of experience in marketing, advertising, or related fields, with a focus on project management responsibilities. Direct marketing and agency experience preferred.
Proven track record of successfully managing marketing projects from conception to completion, demonstrating the ability to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and achieve project objectives.
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including, but not limited to, creative, digital, and analytics teams, to execute marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or traditional Waterfall, and proficiency in project management software (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, Click-Up, Microsoft Project) is highly desirable.
Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and effectively communicate with internal stakeholders, clients, and external vendors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and other relevant software applications.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing deadlines and requirements.
Strong attention to detail and quality assurance, ensuring all project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations and quality standards.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and other internal teams.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Abilities
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Other Skills and Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer literate. Experience with MS Office and specific proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel are required.
Physical Demands
This position includes periods of telephone-intensive work and may require sitting for long periods of time. There is a possibility of travel required.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
