Description
The purpose of the VRP is to request qualified Candidate for a Project Manager with experience in defining project objectives, developing schedules, allocating resources, managing budgets, and coordinating the efforts of agile team members and our vendor partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the desired outcomes aligned to objectives. The Project Manager will monitor progress, identify, and mitigate risks, and communicate with stakeholders to keep them informed through the project lifecycle, facilitate collaboration among agile team members, resolve conflicts, and provide leadership to ensure project success.

QUALIFICATIONS
- The successful candidate(s) will have the knowledge and skills typically acquired through a degree or equivalent diploma program in technology supplemented by formal project management training and certification including PMP (preferred) or PRINCE2.
- They will have at least 5 years of significant and recent, related experience in a leadership capacity on complex initiatives, including the ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks, manage vendors, manage a budget, and provide guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle in an agile delivery environment. Additionally:
- A strong background in projects within IT Asset Management or Device Management domains, including:
- Experience with ITAM frameworks and best practices.
- Familiarity with cyber security and Zero Trust best practices.
- Excellent organizational, planning and scheduling skills with very strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to communicate complicated technical issues effectively to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences: service providers; and other stakeholders.
- Familiarity with predictive and hybrid project management as well as managing projects in kanban/agile style and utilizing work management tools such as Jira.
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to quickly identify potential issues and risks and craft innovative solutions.
- Experience navigating interdependencies across multiple business teams, agile delivery teams (Scrum, Kanban, Hybrid methodologies) and external vendor partners.
- Effective negotiation with sponsors of other initiatives, product owners of teams with competing priorities and deadlines, and others.
- Application of appropriate judgment and discretion in the resolution or escalation of project issues and recommendations to the Project Sponsor, Steering or Governance committees.
- In depth knowledge of standard project management methodologies and tools including scope and budget management, work breakdown structures and scheduling, stakeholder management, communication planning, risk assessment, readiness assessment, etc.
- Fluent in Confluence, Jira, the Microsoft Office Suite/SharePoint, and MS Project.
- Experience working with a Crown corporation is preferred.
- Experience with the gambling industry preferred.
SERVICES
The successful Candidate will be performing some or all of the following activities:
- Utilizing a project management methodology and processes for project activities and gates; creating and managing standard project management artifacts and activities as required, including project plans, budget, scope, schedule and timeline, risk register, status reports, and others, with a focus on effective delivery.
- Conducting initial project planning, soliciting estimates, requirements and user stories, incorporating change management, establishing timelines, and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Obtaining and allocating resources: assigning tasks to agile delivery team, allocating resources effectively to ensure project success.
- Ensuring compliance with information privacy and security assessments, and project governance, procedures and practices, including escalating unresolved issues.
- Monitoring project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and align with project requirements, managing testing activities as required.
- Content and business writing and maintaining accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes, for communication, future reference and auditing purposes
- Executing and supporting other project activities and tasks for one or more projects as reasonably required by the BCLC Project Manager.
