The Amwins Group Benefits Division is conducting a candidate search looking for a senior communications manager with experience in group benefits insurance.

The Amwins Group Benefits Division is one of 5 operating divisions under the Amwins Group brand. With over $8.4b in annual premium placements we have 5.3k retail agency relationships, 1k plus employees and over 170 carrier relationships. Position Overview

Our firm believes strongly that marketing communications can give a competitive advantage to our employees and our business partners. This position exists to help advance our company’s vision primarily through division support and execution.

Qualified candidates must have strong strategic thinking skills, writing acumen, solid project management and organizational skills, passion for communications, and drive to meet high expectations of quality, teamwork and performance.

This position will report to our vice president of marketing for the group benefits division, with a dotted line to the division president.

Position requires marketing communications based knowledge to provide our sales teams, brokers and business partners with tailored employee benefit marketing communications solutions for our group benefits operating companies.

Responsibilities

Social Media Management (LinkedIn):

• Manage and grow the company’s LinkedIn presence by creating, curating, and publishing relevant content that aligns with brand messaging and company goals.
• Monitor engagement, respond to inquiries, and interact with followers to build a strong online community.
• Collaborate with internal teams to highlight key initiatives, news, and thought leadership, ensuring all content is on-brand and reflects the company’s values.
• Analyze performance metrics to optimize strategy and increase visibility.

Event Support:

• Collaborate with the Group Benefits Division to assist with division sales events, including coordinating content, preparing event collateral, and liaising with event hosts in advance to ensure smooth participation and brand alignment.

Writing & Editing:

• Work with the marketing and communications teams to write and edit content for various communication channels, such as internal newsletters, sell sheets, the intranet, and more.
• Demonstrated strong writing and editing skills, ensuring all materials are error-free and effectively convey key messages.

Advertising Support:

• Provide support for the division’s contractually obligated advertising campaigns, ensuring timely delivery of materials and consistency with brand guidelines.

Content Coordination:

• Oversee and manage the content on the website (amwins.com) and intranet (The Loop), ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accurate.
• Work with the marketing and data teams to maintain relevant statistics and ensure seamless updates.

Sales Support:

• Collaborate with the Group Benefits Division to provide necessary resources for the field, including sell sheets, applications, PowerPoint presentations, and assistance with intranet maintenance.

Website Support:

• Assist in the maintenance, planning, and update of content for the Group Benefits Division on amwins.com and any other freestanding websites, ensuring all content aligns with division goals.

Client Presentation Development:

• Assist in the creation of client presentations by working closely with the operations and division leadership teams.
• Must have experience with PowerPoint, a keen eye for detail, and strong layout and formatting skills to ensure impactful, professional presentations.
