About The Role
Ambu is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead our Breathing Circuits portfolio within the single-use medical device space. This role is critical to driving profitability in a highly commoditized market by optimizing product mix, identifying pricing opportunities, and launching higher ASP variants of existing products. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution to transform a challenging business into a profitable growth engine.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Optimization:
Aligning closely with the US marketing and sales teams to understand customer needs, monitor competitor activity, and identify emerging trends to inform portfolio strategy.
Analyze and optimize SKU mix for large-volume product lines.
Identify opportunities for higher ASP variants and premium offerings.
Manage product transition through end-of-life by developing phase-out plans, customer communication, and seamless migration to alternative solutions.
Pricing Strategy:
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like revenue, contribution margin, and logistical spend contributing to landed costs.
Develop and implement pricing strategies to counter significant market price pressure.
Conduct competitive analysis and margin improvement initiatives.
Project Management:
Lead cross-functional projects from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery.
Manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Regulatory Affairs, to ensure alignment on product strategy, development, and successful market launches.
Quality Management:
Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements throughout product lifecycle.
Collaborate with regulatory and quality teams to maintain standards.
Operational Efficiency:
Drive cost optimization through packaging and kitting manipulation.
Assess and reduce shipping costs across the portfolio.
