Senior Director, Digital Marketing
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Director of Digital Marketing in digital health to lead and execute our digital marketing strategy across multiple channels and client relationships. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends strategic thinking with deep technical execution — the ideal candidate is equally comfortable shaping a demand generation roadmap and building a HubSpot workflow from scratch.
This role owns digital performance end-to-end: SEO, paid media, marketing automation, content, web, and analytics. You will manage a mix of internal FTEs and external consultants, and serve as the primary digital subject matter expert across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and own digital marketing strategy across SEO/SEM, paid media, content, marketing automation, and web
- Lead and manage a team of direct reports and agency/consultant partners, setting priorities, reviewing work, and driving accountability
- Translate business objectives into integrated digital campaigns with measurable KPIs
- Advise stakeholders on emerging strategies including AEO/GEO optimization, AI-driven search visibility, and account-based marketing
Marketing Automation & Operations
- Architect, build, and optimize marketing automation programs in HubSpot, including lead scoring, lifecycle stages, nurture workflows, and CRM hygiene
- Design and maintain lead scoring frameworks (fit + engagement) to support sales prioritization
- Manage HubSpot configuration, segmentation logic, and reporting across the funnel
Paid Media & SEO
- Own paid search and paid social strategy, campaign management, and performance reporting
- Lead SEO programs including technical audits, keyword strategy, metadata optimization, and schema markup implementation (including FAQ/structured data for AEO)
- Produce client-facing performance reports using GA4, Google Ads, and related platforms
Web Development & CMS Management
- Manage and develop marketing websites across WordPress (including Salient/WPBakery and Divi), with the ability to implement custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as needed
- Lead or oversee site builds, migrations, and UX improvements
- Ensure technical SEO best practices are embedded in all web development work
Analytics & Reporting
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks in GA4 and Google Ads
- Analyze performance data to surface insights, identify optimization opportunities, and inform strategy
- Communicate results clearly to internal stakeholders and, where applicable, clients
Qualifications
- 10+ years of digital marketing experience in healthcare, with at least 3 years in a senior or director-level role
- Deep expertise in HubSpot Marketing Hub, including workflow automation, lead scoring, and CRM integration
- Proven experience managing paid search and paid social campaigns across Google Ads and LinkedIn/Meta
- Strong SEO fundamentals — technical, on-page, and content strategy — with familiarity with structured data and evolving AEO/GEO best practices
- Proficiency in WordPress website management and front-end development (HTML, CSS, JS)
- Experience with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and building performance reports for executive or client audiences
- Healthcare or health tech industry experience strongly preferred
- Experience managing consultants, agencies, or blended teams
- ABM experience a plus
- Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent workstreams
