Our client is a specialist consultancy delivering innovative data science solutions for a key Federal Government agency. They operate at the intersection of policy and data, with a focus on long-term, impactful change.

About The Role

Reporting into senior leadership, you’ll work as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team delivering advanced analytics and machine learning solutions to inform high-level government policy and operational decisions. You'll partner closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Government department is headquartered in Canberra but you can work remotely form anywhere in Australia.

You must have a NV1 Security clearance to apply

• Day rate range of $1,000 to $1,100 depending on experience

Duties/Key responsibilities

• Build and deploy advanced machine learning models to analyse complex datasets
• Translate findings into actionable insights and clear visualisations
• Collaborate with government stakeholders to scope, deliver and embed data science solutions
• Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Drive continuous improvement and capability uplift across the team

Skills and experience

• Experience delivering end-to-end data science solutions
• Skilled in Python/R, SQL, R Shiny and statistical analysis
• Experience with cloud platforms and EDW, preferably GCP
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to work across diverse teams and tight deadline.
