Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated Application Support Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in Linux-based environments, Java/Python scripting, and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability and performance of enterprise applications and infrastructure, while working collaboratively within a global support team.
The embedded FICC roles require candidates to go through an L2 coder pad (primarily debugging) and interviews with AppDev.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain a proactive approach throughout the day, with the ability to analyze, debug, and resolve issues.
• Develop and enhance the SRE strategy to ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of the plant.
• Efficiently escalate issues to the development team, raise incidents, manage impact, and communicate with users and stakeholders.
• Automate manual processes to improve efficiency.
• Escalate issues to management on both support and development sides, raise problem tickets, and collaborate with development teams to address issues and drive transformations.
• Possess a solid understanding of technical concepts and be capable of writing code when necessary.
• Create documentation, runbooks, and code snippets to resolve issues and share them with the team.
Key criteria:
• Level L2, L3 Application Support experience, preferably in the 6-10 years range.
• Technical Skills: Unix/Linux, any object-oriented programming experience (Java, C++ etc.), with a good understanding of databases.
• Proficient in coding and debugging.
• Strong communication skills.
