As Senior Product Designer at NewTendermint, you will translate blockchain concepts and developer workflows into intuitive experiences that empower users to build and engage on Gno.land through Gno Studio and other tooling and dApps. NewTendermint’s DevX team is a product engineering team shaping the end-to-end developer and user journey for Gno.land. Your work will unite visual craft with product strategy so every tool is coherent, accessible and useful.
Responsibilities:
- Design developer experiences that span interactive authoring, system orchestration, discovery, and collaboration. Gno Studio supports browser-native development in gno, both local and distributed workflows, composable interfaces that embed in other environments, and programmable systems that evolve toward automation and agentic assistance.
- Model and communicate end-to-end workflows through wireframes, system maps, user journeys, and service blueprints.
- Drive and maintain the design system, including tokens, components, motion, accessibility to ensure visual and interaction consistency across Gno Studio, documentation, and future dApps.
- Prototype with purpose using tools like Figma, FigJam, ProtoPie, or lightweight HTML/CSS/JS when behavior fidelity is essential.
- Run and analyze usability sessions with builders, extract insights from telemetry, and iterate on copy, flows, and micro-interactions.
- Collaborate closely with engineers through async reviews in Figma or GitHub, shared Storybook work, and hands-on tweaks when needed.
- Shape design culture by mentoring peers, refining design ops practices, and aligning design direction with product and engineering leadership.
Requirements:
- 6+ years designing and shipping digital products, including at least 2 years leading or owning creative direction.
- Portfolio demonstrates end-to-end product development, from research and exploration to interaction design and implementation. Experience with developer tools or complex technical products is a plus.
- Experience with web3 interaction models involving wallets, signature flows, contract execution, and the UX challenges of blockchain operations.
- Expertise in Figma: styles, variables, auto-layout, component structure, and inheritance. Comfortable in at least one prototyping or motion tool.
- Strong systems thinking: able to create and work with service blueprints, entity-relationship diagrams, and information architectures.
- Ability to shape implementation by working closely with engineers.
- Comfortable running basic user research: including remote usability testing, and applying findings to iterative design work.
- Clear communicator, both written and verbal, with proven effectiveness in a remote-first team culture.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with infrastructure or deployment-focused tools, especially where usability and abstraction were central to the design challenge.
- Ability to prototype or understand interaction requirements in code, and comfortable communicating with engineers about constraints and possibilities.
- Interest in emerging UX patterns like programmable interfaces, agentic behaviors, or design that adapts in real time.
About the Company
NewTendermint LLC is a blockchain-focused software development company that builds secure, scalable, open-source infrastructure for decentralized coordination. Our mission is to foster global, intelligent collaboration rooted in liberty and public accountability.
We are actively developing Gno.land, a next-generation smart-contract platform powered by GnoVM, a decentralized operating system for censorship-resistant applications. At its core is Gno, a deterministic variant of the Go programming language that lets developers create composable packages and smart contracts directly on-chain.
In parallel, we are leading the development of Tendermint2, the evolution of the original consensus engine that powered the Cosmos ecosystem, advancing performance and modularity for next-gen decentralized systems.
Through intuitive, developer-friendly tools and censorship-resistant infrastructure, NewTendermint empowers individuals and communities to build transparent, accountable systems for global-scale coordination.
