.NET Software Engineer - Remote

For an institution in Warsaw, we are looking for a remote .NET Software Engineer.

EU candidates are welcome to apply. Candidates need to be based in Europe and willing to go to Warsaw at the start of the project or when the project requires it. Work permit is not provided.

Candidates need to be fluent in English. This position is open for contractors.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Design and develops software systems;
• Lead development teams;
• Translate business requirements into technical designs;
• Optimize software for performance, security, and quality;
• Produce and maintains technical documentation;
• Estimate development effort and timelines;
• Define software development standards and best practices;
• Propose technical solutions for business needs and technical challenges;
• Collect and interprets software metrics;
• Manage software configuration and releases;
• Contribute to requirements analysis, testing, quality assurance, change management and deployment;
• Develop and executes tests, including testing tools;
• Document software development and implementation;
• Prototype solutions;
• Act as 2nd and 3rd line support;

Profile:

• Bachelor or Master degree;
• +4 years of .NET development experience;
• At least 1 certification among: intermediate level certificate in software development relevant to the domain or an equivalent certification recognized internationally;
• +5 years of professional experience with .NET;
• +3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI or similar business intelligence tools;
• Experience as a Software Developer in at least two projects involving the design, implementation, and deployment of solutions based on Microsoft Business Intelligence or similar technologies;
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases, SQL, BI, reporting, ETL, data modelling, OLAP, and data mining tools;
• Completed at least one full software development lifecycle;
• Expert in developing enterprise-level software systems within the specified technology domain;
• Proficient in UML and application design;
• Experienced in designing and developing the data, business logic, and presentation layers;
• Fluent in English;
