We’re working with a mission-driven deep tech company building the infrastructure layer for real-time, multi-domain intelligence systems. Their platform ingests and processes data from heterogeneous sensors (video, drones, edge devices, etc.), transforming fragmented inputs into live, unified situational awareness.
In practical terms: they’re solving the problem of making massive, messy, real-time data actually usable in time-critical environments, across both defense and emerging civilian applications.
What You’ll Do
- Build systems that process and synchronize multiple live video/data streams concurrently
- Develop high-performance Python services using async/concurrency paradigms
- Design low-latency pipelines for real-time data ingestion, enrichment, and delivery
- Work on distributed systems, APIs, and internal frameworks powering the core platform
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in backend / systems engineering
- Deep expertise in Python (async, concurrency, multiprocessing)
- Experience with real-time / streaming systems (RTSP, WebRTC, HLS, etc.)
- Strong systems fundamentals (Linux, networking, distributed systems)
- Proven track record of performance optimization and production-grade systems
Nice to Have
- C++, GPU/CUDA, or performance-critical systems experience
- Background in video infrastructure, robotics, autonomy, or similar domains
Why This Role
- Work on non-trivial, high-stakes systems where performance actually matters
- Direct impact on real-world operational decision-making
- Small, high-caliber team with true engineering ownership
