Sales/Service Engineer

Job Description

Serve as Sales/Service Engineer with Albany International. Work in team environment selling and servicing paper machine fabrics, managing Forming, Press, Dryer and EF product application, and supporting the paper mill manufacturing process. Utilize industry experience, analytical tools, and fabric evaluation equipment such as NDC Gauge, Press Tuner, Thermography Camera, and related Dryer equipment to evaluate PMC and paper machine problems. Provide weekly service and sales support of mills. Travel and work at unanticipated client sites throughout the United States required.

Experience/Education/Skills

Associate's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Textile, Paper Science or a related field PLUS ten (10) years of experience in the paper industry as a Service/Sales Engineer or related position. Employer will accept a combination of education and experience as determined by a qualified evaluation service as equivalent to an Associate's degree. Experience must include the following: paper manufacturing experience in Kraft or News; demonstrable ability to evaluate and support paper manufacturing; demonstrable knowledge of paper machine clothing-forming, pressing, and drying; demonstrable Service/Sales skills; demonstrable knowledge of mill operation from chips to delivery; and demonstrable value documentation skills including the ability to document the impact of PMC on the mill process. Experience is also required within Product Designer, and within the areas of paper machine clothing fabrics/manufacturing. Travel and work at unanticipated client sites throughout the United States required. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
