Senior Data Analyst

Akkodis is seeking a – “Data Analyst 5” for a Contract position with a client in Remote.

Pay Range: $75-$95/hr. (The rate/salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.).

Typical Day in the Role

• Purpose of the Team: Deliver customer insights to the Microsoft AI monetization product team, focusing on identifying unmet customer needs and informing product development.

• Key Projects: Build a unified data repository, develop dashboards and BI infrastructure using Microsoft Fabric, and generate ongoing reports and workflows for customer insights.

• Typical Task Breakdown and Operating Rhythm:

o Early phase: 50% discovery/meetings, 50% ad hoc analysis of datasets.

o Later phase: 80% heads-down technical work (building BI/data environments), 20% meetings/discovery.

Candidate Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: 10+ years, targeting senior data analyst level.

• Degrees or Certifications Required: No specific degree or certification required; experience with Azure OpenAI tools is a plus but not mandatory.

• Disqualifiers: Lack of demonstrated ownership/impact in previous roles; resumes showing only participation rather than leadership in projects.

• Best vs. Average: Top candidates have experience in customer insights, customer intelligence, or ad tech, and show proactive ownership of projects; average candidates may lack direct marketing analytics or customer data platform experience.

• Performance Indicators: Success measured by attention to detail, meeting requirements, usability of data environments, customer orientation, and timely delivery of project milestones.

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience

1. Marketing Analytics/Customer Insights: Minimum 10 years, with experience in analyzing customer feedback, sentiment, and marketing data.

2. Power BI/Microsoft Fabric: Minimum 10 years, including building dashboards and working with Fabric data environments.

3. Ad Hoc Data Analysis & Enablement: Minimum 10 years, ability to quickly analyze diverse datasets and support ongoing product needs.
