Data Scientist

Akenerji is the first power generation company founded as an auto-producer group in Turkey. One of the Turkish power sector’s biggest players, Akenerji is an integrated power company operating in wholesale energy trade in addition to power generation, with over 37 years of experience in the sector.

We are looking for Data Scientist to be part of our Asset Management and Origination team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field,
• 3+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning and AI technologies,
• Strong understanding of Machine Learning algorithms, Feature Engineering, Model Evaluation, and Statistical techniques,
• Interested in Big Data, Analytics and Machine Learning subjects,
• Open-minded, strong analytical point of view and problem-solving skills,
• Proficiency in Python,
• Good command of MS Office programs,
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Job Description

• Providing actionable recommendations to Asset Management and Origination team based on analyses.
• Preparing analytical studies for intraday market activities, asset optimization and origination strategies by using Data Science and Statistical techniques.
• Monitoring market activities and competitors and making periodic reports.
• Collaborate with the team and developing time-saving needs by using AI technologies.
• Developing advanced machine learning, deep learning, ensemble, and time-series forecasting models.
• Keeping up-to-date with latest technology trends, and executing AI projects with Python.
• Preparing technical reports, management presentations, and decision support documents.
