As a Senior Software Engineer II, you can design and amplify the scale and performance of Linode's Kubernetes Engine (LKE) product. This will help to meet the demands of global enterprises. You will also evolve the scale, performance, security, and capabilities of our managed Kubernetes platform.

As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Taking ownership and contributing towards building roadmap for critical enterprise features expected from public managed Kubernetes platform
• Creating and integrating cloud-native technologies and architectures
• Innovating industry differentiators, exercise design thinking, analyze systems and develop solutions
• Enabling a simple and seamless way for our customers to deploy and operate their Kubernetes clusters
• Collaborating with engineering teams in an Agile environment to sustain a product portfolio.
• Working in an environment that fosters innovative solutions, rapid development cycles, and open communication.

Do What You Love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
• Demonstrate experience building with cloud native technologies and Kubernetes deployments with scale.
• Have experience running Kubernetes on cloud platforms and used or contributed to Cluster API Providers.
• Demonstrate good experience with Go, Python,Bash.
• Be familiar with software development practices and product life cycles through build, test, deploy, and iterative environments.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $126,100 - $261,900/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
